The difficulty in this question is that many texts of scripture seem to contradict this conclusion, e.g., "It repenteth Me..." In the respondeo and the replies to the objections, St. Thomas aids us in providing an answer that is consistent with, 1. The texts of scripture on this matter, 2. Conclusions from other propositions of revelation, and 3. Natural reason.
